I found this 16 x 20 canvas piece $3.99 at the Goodwill store. As you can see the canvas was painted with flowers and blue skies. But I was looking for something to go into my kitchen and this was not it.
I first gave it a good cleaning and then painted the canvas a chiffon cream chalk paint, I needed two coats.
After the canvas was completely dry, I then chose my stencil I wanted to go on my canvas. I was going for the farmhouse look so, I chose this chicken and egg stencil. The paint I used for the stencil is a brown paint.
This is the finish product. I happy with the results and it was an easy project.
