Pumpkin Wreath Scarecrow

Dollar Tree pumpkin wreath. I wanted to created a scarecrow with this wreath.

Burlap fabric to cover the wreath.

I cut the burlap to size.

.

Then I hot glued the burlap to the back of the wreath.

Next, I could have bought a wire triangle, but I decided to just cut a triangle out of cardboard

I had this very old winter scarf that I was no longer wearing. So, I decided to use for the scarecrows’ hat.

I hot glued the triangle to the stem portion of the pumpkin. Then I hot glued some more of the fabric to the point where it met with the triangle. I also gathered some of the fabric to give the hat a realistic look.

Next, I added some twine in the area where the fabric meets.

Next, I added raffia for the hair.

I made a template for the eyes and the nose and cut them out from felt.

I then hot glued the eyes and nose to the wreath. I used black yarn for the mouth.

I could have left the eyes as is, but I decided to add some white paint to the eyes.

I added a bow, some leaves and a sunflower to the left of hat. I also decided to add fabric as patches to the hat.

This is the finish product to hang on your door.
