The Christmas Door

Step into the magic of the holiday season with The Christmas Door craft project! This delightful miniature scene features a beautifully decorated door adorned with festive wreaths, garlands, and twinkling lights. Surrounding the door, you’ll find charming holiday touches—tiny gifts, snow-dusted trees, and even a sprinkle of glittering snow. This captures the joy and warmth of Christmas in miniature form.

1

I started with two scrap woods for the base and the backdrop for the door.

2

I took this miniature door and painted it with Folk Art nutmeg.

3

I needed two coats for complete coverage, and I also painted the doorknob black.

4

Next, I needed to assemble the stairs to the door.

5

By stacking the largest to the smallest creates the stairs.

6

I wrapped some fairy lights around some garland.

15

Then hot glued the garland around the door. (not shown I made a platform for the door to sit on).

7

I got this mailbox from Temu but it was too bright and I wanted an old vintage look.

8

I used the Fork Art nutmeg but added some water to thin it out. Once I covered the entire mailbox, I wiped back some of the paint.

9

I hot glued the mailbox next to the door.

10

Next, I hot glued the stairs up against the door.

11

I next placed all the miniatures that I got from Temu. Once I liked the placement of the miniatures, I hot glued them down. (not shown I decided to paint the bench with the nutmeg paint).

12

I wrapped the remaining fairy lights around the Christmas tree and the base of the project floor.

13

Added some finishing touches with the snow, and the star on the Christmas tree.
